Shaft-hub connection

Shaft-hub connections represent a force or form closure connection between shafts, axles and hubs.  For example, a toothed pulley can be connected to a shaft so that torque can be transmitted between the shaft and the hub. Many shaft-hub connections are characterized by easy assembly or disassembly.
